The T3V+ is running the 1.1 FW, the XP-6 is on 1.01 FW. We will be starting by replacing the XP-6 outright, but I am wondering if something more sinister is in play here and may creep back again. Tech support did not help much in identifying why the system would work flawlessly for several hours and then just lock up completely. I am searching for some kind of insight on this, as I am baffled to no end. This time, power cycling DID NOT remedy the problem. The client contacted us later that evening stating that his system had locked up AGAIN! He power cycled the XP-6 and was able to gain control of his system for the evening but then discovered that it locked up the following morning. I did all the mentioned things and the system functioned fine for the remainder of the time that I was at the client's home. I talked to tech support and they suggested moving the ZM24 and had me do a reset on the ZM24 and force a frequency hop. After power cycling, everything was operating. I remained at the client's home for several hours doing other tasks and found that the XP-6 had locked up AGAIN. I then reset power to the XP-6, which brought everything back to operational status. I was unable to send updates to the XP-6 from the laptop and received an error stating that the controller was not found. The XP-6 is connected to the network for IP operation of some of the devices (the Denon, the HR-24, and the CX-7000ES) and for programming from the field laptop via ID 8.2. Button presses on the T3V+ reflect on the ZM-24 as flashes on the LED. I went to the client's house and verified that all devices were unresponsive. His equipment was installed by another outfit years prior and he contacted us to step up the control from his URC MX450 to the RTI system. The client has a Denon 3311ci with an ASD-1R iPod Dock, a Sony BDP-CX7000ES, DirecTV HR-24, an AppleTV (2nd gen), a Sony BDP-S570, and a Cinemar system that he uses only to catalog and control the changer. He called us after hours (9PM)to make us aware of the problem and I personally went out the next morning to take a look. The first lockup occurred several hours after the system was installed. I installed a XP-6 controller and a single T3V+ for a client and he is having lockup problems where he is completely unable to operate any of his devices.
